New for 2005, the centerpiece of the G2 Series is a new slim-line, waterproof Field & Pro Series transmitter that is smaller, lighter, and more comfortable in the hand than ever. Antenna

This completely redesigned antenna doesn’t stop with being 2” shorter, sleeker and even more rugged than it was before. Its new electrical design also has substantially enhanced range.

Waterproof & Lexan®

Not only is the G2 transmitter waterproof but it’s also made of Lexan® – the same material used to make bulletproof products. If you thought Tri-Tronics products were tough before, you’ll be really impressed now.

Intensity Dial

All G2 products have the same number of stimulation levels as their predecessors. The intensity dial has been redesigned and positioned for easy one-handed operation. Whether you’re left or right handed, a thumb or finger operator, the intensity dial lets you watch your dog and react instantly to what he’s doing.

Grip

The rubberized grip area on the G2 transmitter provides a more secure hold and allows for easier and faster manipulation of the transmitter’s buttons and switches. The new ergonomic shape makes the transmitter more comfortable to hold and fits all sizes of hands.

Buttons and Toggles

All G2 Remote Trainers have the same great button feel, arrangement and spacing you’ve become accustomed to. The toggle switch is less likely to get snared and the tone button has a new location on the back of the transmitter for quick and easy access.

Battery Pack

The removable battery pack means you never have to cut your training day short to recharge. Keep a spare in your pocket and you can quickly replace the depleted battery. The battery pack compartment is also waterproof so you don’t have to worry about dropping it or getting it wet. The new battery life indicator will tell you when it’s time to charge the batteries.

G2 Receiver

The new G2 receiver is 1/3 smaller and also made of Lexan®. It has the same battery charging system as the transmitter – including a removable waterproof battery pack and battery life indicator. Also new to the receiver is an extra loop to keep the collar strap snug to the receiver.

Charging System

This entirely new charging system is as convenient and simple as it gets. There are no more plugs to lose or replace or holes to get clogged with dirt and debris. The quick charge feature allows you to fully charge your unit in just two hours. Leave it on charge as long as you want with no damage to the batteries. It’s totally worry free.

Accessory Beeper

Every G2 Field or G2 Pro Series product has the built-in capability of remotely turning the Accessory Beeper on or off. Simply set the intensity dial to the proper position and press any button.

Tri Tronics Collar Descriptions  & Features

Choosing the right collar depends on many factors.

• Self Dog training

• Professional Dog training

• What type of hunting dog

• Training level of your dog

Each Collar is different but below is the main points to consider when purchasing a collar

Continuous vs. Momentary:

When you hold a button down it will either give your dog a continuous stimulation or momentary stimulation.  Choosing which type of stimulation you want to use for the dominant control is really up to you.

Continuous stimulation:  When you hold the button down for 10 seconds your dog will get stimulation about 9 seconds.

Momentary stimulation:  When you hold the button down for 10 seconds your dog will get stimulation for 1 second. If you want to give your dog more than 1 second of stimulation, you will need to press the button, then release, press the button, than release, and so on. 

Audible tone:

Some trainers or owners use the audible tone as a praise tone or a warning tone.  This again depends on what training style you use or your trainer uses.  Some trainers don't even use the tone.

Contact Points: There are 2 different types of contact points offered. Short and long.  The collars with the fixed length, non-removable points use the short points. The breed of dog and fur length should dictate which points to use.

Short points:  Ideal for thinner coated dogs: Pointers, some Brittany, some Labradors,  and so on

Long Points: Ideal for thicker coated dogs: Golden Retrievers, Most Labrador Retrievers, Setters, Brittany, and so on.
